About Us
The Postpartum Resouce Center of New York, Inc. is the nonprofit 501(c)(3)
organization in New York State representing perinatal mood disorders
support and education. Two Long Island women, Sonia Murdock and
Emily Sampino co-founded the Postpartum Resource Center of New York,
Inc. in 1998 after they each experienced gaps and recognized the needs
in education, treatment and support services regarding postpartum depression/psychosis.

A Perinatal Depression Parent Support Network in every New York State community.

Serving New York
State women and their families at risk for or experiencing prenatal or
postpartum depression by:
- Increasing education, screening and treatment
- Providing support programs and services
- Training healthcare providers and consumers
- Building community partnerships

Empowering parents
and the community to improve the lives of families by addressing maternal
mental health and parenting with psychiatric disabilities.
